Pantry Empowerment Project (PEP)

The Pantry Empowerment Project (PEP), was held in our pantry just a few weeks ago and offered free services to prepare clients (students, faculty, and staff) for the working world and other endeavors they needed assistance with. We provided formal business clothing, including blazers, suits, dresses, button-ups, ties, shoes, and more. Hygiene products such as makeup, toothpaste, and nail polish were also available. Additionally, professional headshots were taken for free in formal wear clothing, and the Career Services center offered resume help and interview advice.

Digital Media Team

The Digital Media team is responsible for collaborating to connect the OU Food Pantry with people online and to document and promote pantry initiatives. The team members attend events to take photos and videos, create graphics for use on social media, and come up with creative ideas on how to highlight the pantry in ways that will show the community the work that we do! The digital media team is key for spreading the message and opportunities that come from the pantry to our community!

Health Education Fair

Our clients loved getting to meet these wonderful organizations!

This month, our Health & Advocacy team held a Health Education Fair at the pantry! Many local organizations were in attendance with resources and information to give out to attendees. We also had catering donated from The Winston, Shipley Do-Nuts, and HTeaO! This was a great opportunity to give our clients access to resources outside of the pantry for any additional needs they may have. The event was a huge success and we cannot wait for the next one!
