Red River Food Fight Recap!

The Red River Food Fight has ended with ANOTHER OKLAHOMA WIN with an astounding 5,184 pounds of shelf stable food raised! We more than doubled the food brought in by the UT Outpost!! Thank you to everyone who supported this campaign-we are so grateful to everyone for believing in this friendly competition with Texas and helping us supply the clients we see each week. We love seeing our community believe in the mission we have in serving those in need. We’re so grateful for yet another stride toward fighting food insecurity on our campus and across state lines!

Pantry Pickleball Tournament!

Our first ever OU Food Pantry Pickleball tournament was a huge success! With over 65 teams competing, we were able to raise over $1,500 to stock the pantry shelves this fall!! A huge thank you to everyone who made it out to the event. We hope to see you all again next year!!

Voter Registration Drive

In September, we held a Voter Registration Drive where our Food Pantry Team helped students register to vote in upcoming elections. We were able to get over 50 voters registered during this event!! Big shoutout to our Health & Advocacy Team for organizing this event, and to everyone who participated to make it so successful. We love seeing our team bringing additional assistance to the OU community! 

United Way Kickoff

We had a great time hosting this year’s United Way Kickoff at the pantry!

This year, 10% of the money raised by OU will benefit the OU Food Pantry, which provides FREE supplemental food assistance and other resources to OU students, faculty, and staff. They are currently seeing 500-700 visitors a week at the pantry and career closet. Other donations will fund over 25 of United Way's partner agencies in Norman, such as the Center for Children and Families, Bridges, Meals on Wheels, and Mary Abbott Children’s House.

Hungry? Each pledge by November 20 of $25 or more, earns you a complimentary Chick-Fil-A coupon (8-count nuggets or sandwich) courtesy of OU Food Services 🤤 Make your pledge, even $1 makes a difference!
